The last show I saw was The Sprit of Christmas. I love dance shows and the Branson Variety Theater has some of the best dance shows in Branson. I might have to check this one out next year. Thanks for sharing.

The last show I saw was the Duttons Christmas show the Saturday after Thanksgiving. That week we saw the Haygoods (twice), Six, Pierce Arrow and the Duttons. Looking forward to Spring Break and seeing some new shows!

I know the thread is titled "What is the last show you saw in Branson," but I thought I'd share the last shows my friend went to. *Na na na na boo boo!*
She and her family went to see the Bart Rockett show and Taylor Reed. She said they were both great, but Bart was more entertaining for the money.

My wife and I went to see Pierce Arrow 7 FEB 08. The comedy was great and really makes this show worthwhile. All of the singers have good voices and sound good when singing individually or in groups of two or three. When all six members of Pierce Arrow sing together they don’t have the impact you would expect from so many good voices. It is like there is a disconnect between them and the musicians (only 4 musicians this year).
Why two keyboards? There is a keyboard with the lead guitar player and another one for the rhythm guitar player, Music Director Bobby Blackburn. While Bobby did occasionally play the keyboard most of the keyboard sounds throughout the show were prerecorded. And the electronic drums? Talented drummer but the sound isn’t what is needed in a live stage performance. He appeared to play his heart out but somebody turned his volume way down. Maybe this was intended. The band left me feeling like the show used canned music with 4 musicians on stage to control the can.
There is a lot of talent and technology in this show but it needs someone to pull it all together.

I have some friends that went to see Peirce Arrow the night you were there. I wish I could haev gone to Branson this weekend, but it's going to have to be a few weeks before I'll get to go. It's been about 3 years since I've seen Pierce Arrow. I think I read on another board that Denny is no longer with them, is that true?

I think I read on another board that Denny is no longer with them, is that true? Yes. My understanding is that he went back to West Virginia and got married.

Bob, thanks for the info about the Pierce Arrow show. We haven't seen the show for several years and I was wondering how it was without Denny. We really enjoyed his singing and he was always so nice to visit with after the show (I loved his hair too)!! ;D

tqom, I'm not sure when you saw Denny last, but his hair is all gone! He cute the pony tail off! I couldn't believe it, and he donated it to Locks of Love! I was glad to hear that!

Deb, I haven't seen Denny for 4-5 years so I didn't know that he cut his hair. Locks of Love is great--I've donated my pony tail to them many times over the years.

We saw Hamner Barber Thanksgiving weekend. Very good show!!! I like Hamner Barber also. The comedian is great! I've seen better magic, but with comedy included with the magic :magician:, it was a fun show.

I went to Branson this past weekend. I saw Legends in Concert, Mickey Gilley and went to a taping of Gene Williams show. Johnny Lee was one of the guest and also Denny Yeary and his wife. We stayed at Oak Grove Inn. I had a great time!
I met some friends at the Moon River Grill. That's a fun place after the shows! Dean Z and some of the guys from Legends were the entertainers that night.
