I love all the Cirque du Soleil shows. I have seen Mystere, O, and Zoomanity in Las Vegas. I have also seen Delerium on tour last year. I have tried to catch 2 more traveling shows but always seem to be too late by the time I found out.
I have the DVDs to most other of the Cirque du Soleil shows because I love that kind of entertainment.
The traveling show Saltimbanco came to Little Rock Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (today). Tuesday we had a snow storm. Wednesday, the roads were not great till late in the day and today they were forecasting more snow.
The tickets for the show were also expensive (before $12 in fees): $91.75, $71.75, $61.75, $41.75. I will NOT set in the far back because if the performers are the size of ants, why go to the show. I figured I would get the $71.75 or $61.75 price range maybe more of they had a GREAT seat on the floor close to the stage.
I then had to worry about the snow. I didn't buy a ticket online because I was worried about the weather. When I left it was raining, when I got 20 miles from home, it was snowing hard, I almost turned back but I kept on going. After about 40 miles, the weather cleared up.
I got a good deal on Van Halen tickets by finding a Scapler. In AR, it is legal to sell the ticket for AT or below ticket price but not for more. I got a floor ticket for almost 1/2 price. I looked around and found No one. This was for that 3:30 show, I wanted to get home before too late.
I finally went up to the ticket window and asked about 1 ticket down close, while the employe was looking. A guy walked up with is son and said "you need 1 ticket?". I said yes, he takes one and hands it to me. I ask how much. He said "it's free, my wife couldn't come so I brought my son but I had an extra". I offered to pay him SOMETHING for it. He said no, I couldn't use it.
I GOT IN FOR FREE. I wasn't going to be picky. I figured for free, I would set anywhere. The ticket was for FLOOR, 3 rows from the stage. One of the best seats in the house. I thanked him many times since his son and him were next to me. It made my day. I ended up sending $25 for program, pop and food NOT $125.
If you get a chance, please see. It is traveling around the USA and stopping in many cities. I would recommend anyone going and seeing this show. It is wonderful.
