Will the FM radios become the AM radios of today with the start of the HD Radios. I had not head about this until recently. I like to keep up on toys and gadgets but this I didn't know about until I heard about it on a radio channel in Little Rock that is starting a HD station. I did some research and "I LIKE IT". Unlike XM and Sirus, this is FREE just like AM and FM signals but it is broadcast in CD qaulity using a compressed datastream (like MP3s). One station can breadcast any channels over a bandwidth normally used by 1 station. I was amazed at how many channels were already up. I looked in Arkansas and MO and I was surprised. St Louis had LOTS of stations. If you are looking to get a new radio installed in your car or if you are in a "prime area" you might want to look into this. I know if I get my radio replaced in my car, I will be looking at one with HD (not XM or Sirus). www.hdradio.com/Just a heads up because this caught me offguard. Maybe I need to watch more TechTV and less History Channel.

My cousin installed HD radio in his SUV and he loves it. The quality, the channels, everything! HD will become the new FM radio.
