One of my favorite things to do while in town is go on the duck rides. I have been on the original one probably 12 times. I go several times a year. I love it when there is a driver with good jokes and more importantly KNOWS BRANSON HISTORY.
The new ride down at the Branson Landing was nice but it is SHORT and the driver tried to tell a lot of downtown Branson history while he fought the horrible traffic and he did his best but it was hard to hear with all the noise. I think the speaker was turned down because being in town. I like the fact that you get to watch the water/fire show FROM THE RIVER on each trip. It is timed so you get to watch one of the shows from the duck on the water unless the show is canceled because of weather.
I am planning to go to Branson next month (March) when the shows start up but I will wait till April/May to go on the ducks because they are not any fun when it is cold. When it is HOT, they are great to be out on the lake in.

We really enjoyed the Taneycomo route. We were on one of the first rides of the day and I think we got a lot of time out on the lake. We'll probably do the Taneycomo route again.
