The Branson Titanic is is one AWSOME exhibit.
I was in Orlando Fl with Girlfriend and 3 of the 4 kids (the youngest was too young for Disneyworld) in 1999 and we saw signs for the Titanic Experience in town. We finally found it hidden in the back of a strip mall. We went in it and it was nice. They had a person dressed as a crewmember escort us thru the reproductions of parts of the ship. They didn't have much but it was nice. I think the entire tour was about 35 minutes. The most fun was in the bridge and outside on deck. The men had to tell the wife/kids bye because they had to stay on the ship and die. It made everybody cry but also gave everybody a emotional experience.
I head heard that the Orlando company was closing it's doors and moving to Branson. When the Titanic in Branson was opened, I was up the first week to see it. I found it fantastic. They had pictues, and artifacts from the ship ON the tour. The Orlando had all the artifacts at the end in 1 room. The reproductions of the ship were a LOT better. They added a movie about the ship which is good if people are getting tired and want to rest. In Branson, you go UP the grand staircase where in Orlando they had one but it went no where since there was no upper floor (you could just stand and take pictures of your each other).
The Branson exhibitor takes over an hour (unless you don't read or look at anything). I took the same girlfriend to Branson after Thanksgiving and she had never been to the Branson Titanic. I had told her about it but she moved back to Washington state before it was built. She LOVED it. She remembered a few of the artifacts as being from the Orlando exhibit which closed and moved everything to Branson. Plus the scale was so much bigger. She spent almost 2 hours in there. I had to make her leave so we could get to a show. I had been thru there 3 times with friends and family but this was her first. I think she talked about the Titanc more than anything else in Branson.
My only complaint was when it first opened, you were allowed to take pictures. Now you are NOT allowed to take any pictures. They used to have a lady stationed at the bottom of the staircase to take your picture using your camera on the Grand Staircase. NOW, they take your picture against a bluescreen and past it into the grand staircase background, and a few othe backgrounds and it cost you $15 (or close) to get them. It was just a sore spot because they let you take picturs for the first season, than they don't anymore.
