The Star Theater is opening it's first show at the end of this month. The theater seems to be offering a bunch of different shows that are different than the "Old Branson" shows. At this time, there are 2 shows listed on their webpage but I hope they add more. The shows are: "Lomascola's Million Dollar Piano Show" which looks like a "Liberace" kind of show. He doesn't seem to be wearing any outfits but he does have a piano that cost 1 million dollars so I guess that is something. "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" is a musical comedy with the music of Neil Sedaka. It sounds pretty good and it got good reviews at where it used to play. I like shows that are not just country and western music. I have said on another forum. I don't like Country And Western music and I HATE "Hee Haw" humor. I got attached over there because I said it...evil me....but I just happen to not like that kind of music and I do not spend my money on those shows. I like shows that are outside that formula and Branson now has plenty of shows that are. I hope they do well in Branson. I am NOT sure they will because a lot of people don't like something new but I will be attending the musical when it opens next month. I am not sure about the pianoman. www.bransonstartheatre.com/

Thanks for all the info! I like things that are different. I do, however, also enjoy some of the country shows. I think Branson is slowly attracting a bit of a new population. I'm looking forward to seeing the "Breaking Up is Hard To Do" show. I think it will do pretty well. The piano man doesn't really interest me much, but I'd give the show a shot. I wish this theater the best of luck.

They now have 3 shows on their website.
I will NOT be seeing the third show. It is music from around the world performed on ACCORDIANS.
Setting thru 2 hours of accordian music...NO WAY. I would rather have my nose hairs pulled with wire pliers....and please no one offer to help me do this.
I can't wait to see the "Musical" but I will pass on the other 2 shows.
