You know what is really jaw dropping? The number of views this thread has!
It's hard to believe a dollar store thread would get so many views.

You mention the word Branson, and you attract all kinds of cheap rednecks. Therefore, you get many views on a dollar store thread.

If I owned the car that is on doublel's avatar I couldn't afford anything at the Dollar store. I bought some linen table runners to use at the Christmas party where I work. They were really nice (and the price was nicer) and a couple of snooty wives of my co-workers thought they were great and wanted to know where they could buy them. I really enjoyed telling them I bought them at the Dollar Store in Branson. I offered to give them each one of the runners so that they could impress their country club friends but they declined!! ;D (Mike, I think I fit the description of cheap redneck).

If you need any computer USB cables, I have been able to find some at the $1 store in Branson and other places. I tell customers if they ask about USB extension cords, go to the $1 stores. If you go to Best Buy or Stapes you will pay $15 to $29 (gold contacts) for a 6 or 12 foot extension cord.
At the dollar store you can buy 1 for $1 and guess what, put 2 together and you have 12 feet. That same cable cost $19.99 at Best Buy. I have NEVER had any problems with signal loss.
The headphone/earbuds for Ipods are not bad either. I have a tendancy to be rough on earbuds but the $1 last as well as the $20 Sony earbuds.

I haven't bought a USB cord extension or anything at the dollar store, but I have bought ear phones there. Every time I put them into the ear phone thing, the songs kept skipping. I got frustrated and threw them away. Gracias for your suggestions though..

Maybe it was your Mp3 or iPod? I doubt headphones would cause skipping in songs. Maybe crackling noises, but not skipping.

The headphones are OUTPUT devices and should not be able to cause any problems with the MP3 player. I know on my IPOD, I have had loose wires and 1/2 plugged in headphones. I would loose sound on one ear or the other or hear noise but I don't think that headphones could cause a MP3 player to skip because it had nothing to do with the operation.
